  • Years 5 and 6 see Michael Rosen!

    Tue 12 Nov 2019

On Monday, Years 5 and 6 had the privilege of watching Michael Rosen at Weymouth Pavilion. He was an incredible entertainer and brought his poetry to life through sounds and actions. He was such an incredible inspiration and had the children totally absorbed and entertained. It was lovely to see them listening and laughing, and the staff too!

He was so open and fun, sharing bits of his life, speaking about things the children could relate to. He shared a couple of his really well known poems and had the audience join in with bits.

At one point he said something and some of the children clapped so excitedly - not because it was a moment for applause but just because they were so genuinely thrilled.

When we got back to school Shyla said "I can't believe I have actually seen Michael Rosen. I have never seen a celebrity before."

Thank you Mr Cain for arranging such an inspiring trip!
