Local Governing Board

The Local Governing Board of the school is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds. They form the Academy Ethos and Standards Committee (ASEC). The school governors are a group of individuals, who are elected, nominated or co-opted and are representative of parents, staff and the Church. The ASEC works with the Headteacher and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the school. Meetings are held at least once each half term. Welcome to our Local Governors' section. 

Our Local Governing Body -the Academy Standards and Ethos Committee

The AESC meets six times a year. It is made up of 9 governors.  5 of us are Foundation Governors appointed directly by the Diocese of Salisbury, there are 2 parent governors chosen by election by parents, a staff governor also chosen by election from the staff and the headteacher. The chair is nominated by the DSAT trust board, but the vice chair is elected by the other governors.  We work alongside the headteacher to set the strategic direction of the school and to check its performance and to keep an oversight of finances at a local level.
