Home Learning for: Friday 18th February 2022.

Hello Orcas! 


First of all, thank you for being superstar learners today in school! We are all so very proud of you all.


On Friday 18th February you will not be attending school due to possible bad weather. 

We have set some home learning tasks for you to do at home. 


Worship - led by Mrs Harris.


Handwriting - LI: To form letters neatly and consistently in joined-up writing.

- Days of the week (look inside your pack).

- neat, joined-up writing please.


Maths  - LI: To know multiplication and division facts.

- Multiplication and Division work (look inside your pack):

1) Times-table square to complete. Wow: Highlight any squared or cubed numbers that you find!

2)  Multiplication wheel to complete - think about each times table as you complete the wheel. Knowing multiplication

     facts will really help you with your division work.

3) Division wheel to complete -

     - Think about the inverse operation of the multiplication facts.


English - LI: To write a non-chronological report.

- Write a non-chronological report (look inside your pack).

- This is a 'cold' task for our next 'Talk For Writing' unit. 

- Please do this task independently (without any help from other people).


Reading - LI: To read fluently with an awareness of punctuation. 

- Please read your reading book and log this in your reading record. 

- Please read as much as you can and complete an Accelerated Reader Quiz on each book you complete. 


IT - Please use: TT Rockstars, Purple Mash, or Accelerated Reader if you are able to do so.

Here are some extra learning tasks if you would like to do more:


History - Ancient Egypt - What can you find out about Ancient Egypt? Can you look in a history book or online (only with supervision with your parents) or, create a list of questions that you would like to find out about Ancient Egypt? 


PSRE and School Values...

Kindness - Kindness is one of our school values. Can you draw/ paint a picture for someone in your family?

Responsibility - Responsibility is another one of our school values. Can you help your mum/dad/carer to lay the table for dinner or help to tidy up at home?
