LKS2 REMOTE LEARNING
When you log into teams you will see two different groups/channels that you have been added to. A whole pod team, and your individual class team. We will upload work at 8:00am every morning. You will be able to find this on your individual class teams.
At 9:30am each morning, we will host a live video with the whole year group. One of the teachers will read you a short story and it will be a chance for you to see some of your friends. The days’ timetable will be explained to you, and then we will separate into our individual classes for the remainder of the day. Despite being in separate classes, we are all completing the same work and staff are working hard as a team to ensure you receive a balanced curriculum at home.
Once you have submitted your work, you will receive feedback from one of the pod teachers. It may not be your usual teacher as we are still working in school, but we are in constant communication and know how amazing you are all being!
We will be setting a number of tasks throughout the day, and have the same level of expectations for work as we would in school. That said, we understand the challenges of remote learning and would encourage regular work breaks throughout the day.
Any queries, concerns or comments then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are very lucky to be using Microsoft TEAMS for our remote learning, but we have to make sure that we are being sensible. We will be keeping a very close eye on usage and making sure that everyone is safe and using the software correctly. If we feel that children are being unsafe, or not using it responsibly then we will ask children to leave the TEAM and we will have to set remote learning in a different way.
Please make regular use of our online learning platforms:
Mathletics, TT Rockstars and Purple Mash.
