Week 4 w/c 28th September

This week we started to learn about King Henry VIII in our topic 'Off With Her Head'.

In English we watched videos about Henry VIII and made notes based on these videos. We also researched different aspects of his life. We wrote sentences about Henry VIII containing relative clauses and parenthesis.

In Maths, we learned more about place value. We looked at negative numbers, as well as comparing and ordering numbers up to 10 million, and also rounded numbers up to the nearest 100,000.

Teaching of Reading

We read more of the book 'There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom'. We focused on inferring characters thoughts and feelings, summarising and debating.

In Science we explored the impact of exercise on our bodies. We measured our resting heart rate and heart rate after walking and running. We found that exercise increased our heart rate.
