Week 2 Home Learning Tasks for Year 3/4 children.

WB 30/03/20

Maths

English

Monday

All: Mathletics

(We are able to track the usage on Mathletics)

All: Write the Easter story from a different point of view.

 

Tuesday

Year 3: Look at home for items weighed in g and kg and compare and order them lightest to heaviest, use scales if you have them.

 

Year 4: write tenths as decimals e.g. one tenth=0.1

All: Purple Mash: Easter Activity

 

Wednesday

Year 3: Choose 3 items and add the total mass in g and kg.

Year 4: Add decimals onto a number line 0 to 1.

Thursday

All: TTRockstars and/ or

Mathletics

(We are able to track the usage of TT Rockstars and Mathletics)

All: English/RE - Write a paragraph on ‘Why is it called Good Friday?

 

Friday

Year 3: Measure capacity. Investigate bottles and jars and notice the ml and l. Compare and order.

Year 4: What happens if you divide a number by 10 or 100?

- Remember entry and exit strokes (going into and out of each letter) using cursive handwriting.

– Choose 10 words from the year 3/4 spelling list.

Exercise/PE – Daily mile or ask your parents if you are able to see The Body Coach on Youtube, who will be running a free live 30min PE lesson each morning at 9am.

Choose an activity related to our current topic ‘Flow’ (see below)
